This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the Liquid Aroma Perfumer mobile application (the “App”). The App is provided by Maison Birch (“we”, “us”, or “developer”).

2. What the App does

Liquid Aroma Perfumer is a personal perfume formulation and laboratory journal app. It helps you create fragrance recipes, track raw materials, log maturation cycles, record evaluation notes, manage your scent collection, and unlock laboratory achievements. The App does not provide medical, dermatological, or regulatory compliance advice for cosmetic manufacturing.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of data:

On-device content you create — perfume recipes, formula drafts, ingredient inventories, collection entries, calendar events, maturation logs, evaluation notes, and profile preferences. Much of this remains stored locally on your device so the App can work offline.
Synced laboratory history — recipe revisions, evaluation notes, and maturation records may be backed up to our servers so they can be restored for your device.
Achievements and progress — unlocked badges, progress counters, and related laboratory milestones may be synced to our servers.
Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated device ID used to associate synced history and achievements with your installation. This is not your name, email, or Apple ID.
Support messages — if you contact support through the App, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit.
Technical service data — standard server logs needed to operate and secure the API (for example request time and basic connection metadata).

4. How we use information

To provide core App features and an offline-first laboratory experience
To sync and restore formula history, notes, maturations, and achievements
To respond to support requests
To maintain, secure, and improve the backend service

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your formulation content for advertising.

5. Where data is stored

On your device — local App data is stored on the device so many features work without an internet connection.
On our servers — synced history, achievements, and support-related data are stored by our backend hosted at leva.liquidaroma.online (including infrastructure providers used to host that service).

6. Sharing of information

We share information only when needed to operate the service (for example hosting providers), to comply with law, or to protect the safety and integrity of users and the App. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

7. Data retention

Synced history and achievements are retained while associated with your device identifier and needed to provide the service. Support messages are retained as needed to handle your request and maintain records. You may request deletion at any time using the contact email below or by using the in-app data wipe feature.

8. Your choices and deletion

In the App, you can use Settings → Wipe All Data to remove local data and request deletion of synced server data tied to your device identifier.
You can also email maison.birch23@icloud.com to ask questions or request deletion of server-side data.

9. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International users

If you use the App from outside the region where our servers are hosted, your information may be processed in another country. By using the App, you understand that synced data may be transferred to and stored on those servers.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when revisions are published. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
